Division is handled by multiplying the first fraction by the reciprocal of the second, so a/b ÷ c/d = (a × d) / (b × c). Once the raw numerator and denominator are known, the tool reduces the fraction by dividing both by their greatest common divisor (GCD), moving any negative sign onto the numerator so the displayed form is always clear.
